Superman
It felt a bit like coming home. After three months out with an injury, I finally walked back into the gym at the Conrad Algarve. “Welcome back Superman,” the wellness receptionist said. Simple words, but they hit. Like you’re back in the game.
The first steps on the treadmill feel a little awkward. My body complains, just a bit, but my mind… instantly calm. I had really missed this.
After the workout, I head into the sauna. Heat, silence, nothing else. Exactly what you need to reset. And just when you think the day can’t get better, Elyas—joining me during his Easter break—walks in with a smile: “I’m treating you to a glass of wine.”
We end up in the cozy, newly renovated bar. Soft lighting, great vibe. The bar is welcoming for young and old, one of those places where everyone just feels comfortable. And here’s a fun detail: the hotel is owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien.
And there’s Yara, the kind receptionist, who surprises Elyas with a coloring book. Small gesture, big impact.
These are the moments when everything just clicks. No rush, no stress. Just being together and enjoying it.
Life really is that simple. And that’s exactly what makes it so beautiful.
Happy Easter
