Tucked away on the first floor, amidst the bustling restaurant scene near the 3 HB hotel in Olhos d'Água, you'll find Chef's Peking. It might seem a bit quirky to access, with two staircases leading up, but unfortunately, it's not wheelchair-friendly.
The food here is nothing short of spectacular, earning a solid 9.2 from us! Plus, the service is exceptionally warm and friendly. It's no wonder that this place is frequented by loyal patrons who return year after year.
What sets Chef's Peking apart is its commitment to traditional Chinese cuisine, crafted by a chef with 40 years of experience. While the restaurant is well-maintained, it wouldn't hurt to consider updating the furniture next year.
Despite the potential (long) wait times, the exceptional food makes it all worthwhile. As the evening progresses, an extra team member joins the service to speed things up.
Chef's Peking operates on a cash-only basis, so be prepared. With a diverse menu, reasonable prices, and outstanding food quality, it's a must-visit. The restaurant is tastefully adorned with Chinese symbols and a kimono, and the staff are not only friendly but also fluent in English.
You'll find a diverse mix of patrons here, and the overall experience is nothing short of excellent. Cleanliness is a top priority, making this a solid recommendation for anyone seeking an authentic Chinese dining experience. We can't wait to return!
