Gaspacho & Migas, located on the outskirts of Lagoa, next to the police station, may not catch your eye from the outside, but it offers a culinary surprise inside.
The Gnocchi Pao (18 euro) and the entrecote (31.50) were absolutely fantastic, both in terms of presentation and taste.
As for the ambiance, there is room for improvement. The interior feels a bit cold, and the brightness of the lighting could be toned down a bit. The tables could use some more decoration, like tablecloths, to make the overall atmosphere cozier. It might not be the ideal place for a romantic date, but for a delightful culinary experience, it's definitely worth a visit.
What truly stands out is the refreshing menu featuring dishes from the Algarve and Alentejo regions. The pomegranate gazpacho, tomato tartare, and forest mushrooms were true taste explosions. The main courses, such as the bread with gnocchi and coriander pesto, were delicious and unique. The staff deserves praise for their politeness, and the open kitchen in the basement provides an interesting behind-the-scenes glimpse.
All in all, Gaspacho & Migas comes highly recommended for those seeking exquisite cuisine, despite the room for improvement in the ambiance. It's a place where taste buds are spoiled, and you can indulge in culinary delights in the Algarve.
