In 1930, Lidl was founded as a wholesale business for vegetables and fruits, and now belongs to the Schwarz Group, a leading player in the European and international food retail industry.
Lidl has been repeatedly awarded as the Best Supermarket in Vegetables and Fruits.
Lidl's focus is on quality and affordability, with carefully selected products and joint procurement across 32 countries.
The range of around 2300 basic products is expanded each year to include more organic vegetables and fruits, as well as vegetarian and vegan options such as bread, vegan cheese, tofu, wine and vegan burgers.
We do about 80% of our shopping at Lidl, and the remaining 20% at Apolonia, Continente, and Auchan.
Since 2016, customers can also find affordable non-food items in the stores and the Lidl online shop.
