Nestled behind lush vegetation, Casa da Quinta is not easily visible from the street, but the striking sign in the parking lot guides the way.
Enjoy an aperitif on the terrace or relax in the cozy bar, which, despite its hip vibe, contrasts with the somewhat plain interior of the restaurant.
The friendly, large service team ensures excellent service in this family-run restaurant owned by Sonia and Teofile, where children are also warmly welcomed.
Although prices are above average, the menu offers a variety of classic dishes, including vegetable soup (€8), melon with ham (€12), and goat cheese gratin (€14) as starters.
Main courses include classic dishes like sole meunière (€45) and chateaubriand (€35), and vegetarian options like ravioli (€22) and the delightful stuffed eggplant (vegan/€22).
A delightful bottle of organic Douro wine, such as the Esparao (€45), completes the experience.
The food is exquisite, but given the price range, the presentation could be more refined. Although the location is convenient, the restaurant lacks a romantic ambiance that would make it a perfect date night destination.
However, it is very suitable for family dinners with children.
