Located between the stunning Beachclub Club Nau and Escondidinho pavilion, this charming pavilion sits along the coastline with breathtaking views over the beach and the ocean, especially at sunset.
Upon arrival, Joao, a very friendly waiter, welcomes you with a passion as if he were the owner. His kindness and humor contribute to the warm atmosphere of the restaurant.
Restaurante Praia Grande Ferragudo is open six days a week, from 9:15 AM to 6:30 PM, allowing you to enjoy breakfast, coffee, lunch, drinks, or an early dinner by the sea at any time of the day.
The menu offers a small but varied selection of dishes, including soups, salads, sandwiches, fish, meat, and vegan options, such as the tasty vegan burger with fries for only 9.10 euros. While the food is simple, the prices are affordable.
The terrace on the first floor provides an excellent opportunity to enjoy the beach view while leisurely people-watching with a refreshing drink in hand. For families, there is a beautiful playground on the beach, as well as the fascinating washed-up shipwreck.
Parking can be a challenge, but if you park in the village, it's only a 500-meter walk along Joao Castle. The beach is popular with dog owners and families due to the calm waters of the Arcade River estuary but less suitable for surfers due to the lack of waves.
